Beautiful California is Cassette's debut album, featuring 35 short, original songs covering a very wide variety of genres. The album was written and recorded entirely by Devin Smith over the summer of 2005 in his bedroom before coming back to live in Miami, and gathering an excellent group together to play this music, as well as many other things written since then. Beautiful California's restless inventiveness and technical complexity never gets in the way of it's catchy tunes and sing-along accessibility. The album is being released as a collaboration between Devin's own label Atomisk Records and Honor Roll, Inc. of Miami.
Look for a release date in early March 2007, followed by a national tour.
